Musica Snaps

Ever heard someone’s voice and the first thing that crossed your mind was “out of this world”?, well if you didn’t, read this review and you’ll know that such voice truly exists … Nadia Ali, Much more than music full of feelings.

Nadia Ali, maybe a name that you heard about many times before, but I am not sure if many of you listened to her songs or watched any of her performances, whether in her solo career or with her former band IIO.

Hallucinations Print E-mail
Written by Simon Adly
Facebook!

I walk to somewhere unknown to me
A route to nothingness is known to be
Yet fighting the fake faces before me
And the dark faces of lamenting birds

Running underneath the weeping clouds
Challenging the raging nature and trees
Trees cloaked with leaves dark as shrouds
Yet smelling feminine dancing arrogantly

Soil dampened by the cold mist of love
And leaves rotten by anguish and misery
Both cuddling my feet walking above
While the air embraces us with tragedy!

I see your face upon the pale lonely moon
And determine what I am not to reach
My hands long where winds have blown
To darkness far from the night's sun

I stare at the moon escorted by reflections
Of your light to forever get you in me
I don't want to let go my own imaginations
Neither want to let go your presence here

Dancing in the coldness of the dark night
With the mist and the weeping clouds
Leaves fall enshrouding my fearful sight
Dead in memories of an absent princess

Hallucinations invading ruins of my sanity
As my hands hold the coldness of the air
Illusions cover my eyes with fake reality
You're standing before my trembling hands

Where do I stand? What do I hold?
The nothingness of my imaginations
Maybe in the mazes of my lost world
Or in fakeness with an absent princess

Like a prince deprived from his wealth
A maniac obsessed with his dreams
As a drunk he walks with a cold breath
Again and again he wakes in pain

Poetica Snaps

waking up in a plain white room,
restrained in your isolated cocoon,
dreading to face the world outside: "it's too soon!"
sealed in a box, away from the big sky, with the sun, stars and moon.
