Nadia Ali, maybe a name that you heard about many times before, but I am not sure if many of you listened to her songs or watched any of her performances, whether in her solo career or with her former band IIO.
No one can ever deny that promotion songs for movies cause at least 50% of the movie's success, this complies to last summer movies like "ga3alatny mogreman" with the famous "wahda wahda by Hamaky" and "lama habibty hatekbar" by Ahmed Helmy for his movie Mattab Sena'y.
This Summer ... Many movie songs force you to give the movie a shot and go reserve a ticket and see what's happening, that's what we will discuss in this week's Musica ...
This summer many movies relied on the idea of the musical advertisement, many of them chose the right singer and the right lyrics and composer, while others trully messed up, we will try to give each song of those a rating for how far it went with the movie ...
From the movies' soundtracks this year:
Hisham Abbas - Keda Reda ... obviously the soundtrack of Ahmed Helmy's and Menna shalaby's Keda Reda Movie, i believe its a very catchy song, but i believe it can't be a "reason" for the movie's success, not like last year's "wahda wahda".
Omar w Salma Soundtrack, i believe that this movie relies 70% on those soundtracks and 30% on the appearance of Tamer Hosny and nothing more, so... yes they are effective !
Hossam Habib - Inta Ma3aya ... I even like the song more than the movie- Taymour w Shafee'a - itself, its really awesome , great lyrics and good performance by Hossam Habib, and 100% fitting for the movie's story
Morgan Ahmed Morgan'ssoundtrack with the famous "Bamboo" rhythm recieved maximum appreciation from the fans... a good hit.
Mustafa Amar - Howa Da Eibo gives the impression that the movie will be a big hit, and that's enough for a pre-release.
The same goes for Ahmed Sa'd Song Sa2alt Nafsy for El-Shabah Movie, a very suiting song and i believe will persuade many of the listeners to give the movie a shot.
Mohamed Henedy - Mein Habib Baba ... after seeing the movie i really believe that this song is the only reason for this movie's succes (3andaleeb El-Do'y) - if it happened anyway - the movie itself is not up to the standard at all, yet the song is over qualified for this movie
Same goes for 3agamista soundtrack by Medhat Saleh and Ehab Tawfik
When it comes to "Hoosh Elly We'e3 mennak" Movie , i believe that Amina's song is very weak for the movie, and not a good choice for an advertising campaign
Talking about Ahlam Elfata Elta'esh, I really like the 2 songs chosen for its soundtrack, Loai - Men Awelha and Ramez Galal - 3ayzany A7'ess, both of those songs added alot to a movie that is a debut for Ramez Galal and needs as much support as it can get, good choice
Nevertheless we can never forget Hisham Abbas - A7'er Eldonya which i believe many of you remember the song more than the movie itself :)
In the end i believe that such way of advertising is a very successful way, and it caused many movies to rise to the top charts last year and i believe it may be a very good winning card for this summer's movie.
