Under two weeks ago, I got to attend a concert for the first time for a band called “Massar Egbari”. I had heard one of their songs once “Ta’am El-Beiout” and really liked it. But honestly, I did not expect their performance to be that good!! The music was by far amazing and the lyrics were perfectly put together.
Have you ever tried to categorize music according to the time of day? If you’re an early morning person, you are just going to love Jack Johnson. Jack Johnson has a John Mayer feeling to him when you first listen to him, but a few tracks later you’ll sense his originality and you’re hooked!! Something about the tone of his voice, his selection of lyrics and the strum of his guitar makes me associate him to the break of dawn, breezy weather, waiting for the sun to shine and people to wake up and go to work.
His music is very light. It’s simply acoustic and can take you away from the noise, the pollution and rush of your every day life.
Jack Johnson is Hawaii born musician. He is 32 years old with a degree in film making. He owns his own record company (Bushfire Records) and surfs for sport. He named it after his first album “Bushfire Fairytales” out 2001. He also co-founded a non-profit organization for environmental education and conservation.

His most recent production of his own music would be “Sing-A-Longs and Lullabies for the Film Curious George”. Being a film maker and a surfer, he directed the surf movie “Thicker than water” in 2000 with Chris Malloy.
I think his best album would be his most recent “In between dreams”. For a good couple of months the song breakdown was played non-stop on the radio.
My recommendations would be: “Breakdown”, “Sitting, Waiting, Wishing”, “Better Together” and “Banana Pancakes” which by the way is a love song (interesting name for a love song isn’t it?).
